Project characteristics

Slush flows from Vannledningsdalen valley in Longyearbyen Svalbard have been a threat to the residential area below Sukkertoppen mountain for many years. To reduce definitively the risk of slush flow for the residents, the municipality of Haugen decided to implement modified debris-flow nets.
